Ok, first of all - adamin please delete this message in the Tech Section: [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=831970 ]Now onto why this needs to be deleted. So followng the advice I posted above, I had ordered the fuel line from the Motorcycle Goodies Shop. The line came yesterday and right off the bat I see the package says "#6 Braided Fuel". So of course I'm like WTF. I went though all this crap with Russell Performance to make sure this was the right stuff. I checked the part number and it's correct as to what I was told was the 5/16". I check my invoice. Same part number and it says 5/16", but the damn bag says 6AN right on it. I call the motorcycle shop and they are no help, they just say to send it back to them if it's not what I want. So I call Russell again and tell them what's going on. The guy tell's me that 5/16" is the same at #6. I tell him no it's not , that #6 is larger. He continues to tell me that they are the same. I tell him it's been proven on our cars to be larger and it won't seal correctly. He puts me on hold for 15 min then comes back. Says he went to the warehouse and measured and that the #6 is slightly larger afterall (well no shit!). So back to square one. My engine will not be installed this weekend now of course so we're gonna have to wait for my chance for the the PE1420 dyno (nothing new there). The Russell guy mentioned wrapping the barb on the stock fuel line with teflon tape to thicken the barb up to make the #6 line fit. Anyone heard of doing this and will it work? The tech guy mentioned people have done this and it will be fine. Don't know if I want to trust that since I can't replace the one line under the plenum once everything is bolted on. So I still need braided fuel line.....help!
